very clean and nice large rooms for your money
would be nice to have eating facillities cloe by.
Quiet, clean and parking facilities The receptionist was particularly helpful
Direction to hotel very diffcult to locate on a map - the accessiblity and route should be given clearly.
Hotel is very close to hospital, 3/4 minutes by car staff very friendly
Rooms very basic but a very good option for early hospital appointments
The beds were wide and comfortable & the room layout was excellent.
it was value for money and had the right facilites for a short stay.
It said there was a bar but when I asked was told that there wasn,t one
The parking facilities for hotel guests were great and the hotel was within walking distance to Stoke Mandeville Hospital.
close location to family and on site parking and very good facilities for the disabled
Close to desired location (hospital).
Entire wet room filled during shower and took hours to drain meaning that whenever the bathroom needed to be used, I got wet feet! Also meant that I needed to cut short my shower time incase the water made it to the door and out onto the carpet. Matress far too soft.
clean simple value quiet
located in a housing estate
The Olympic Lodge Hotel provided a calm and restful place which was close to our relatives, in a sorrounding that was peaceful.
The floor of the showers did not drain off causing the toilet area to be wet. Someone leaving their bed in the night to use the toilet would encounter a wet floor while using the toilet....not cool.
Liked the price of the room, liked the idea we could push the beds together which made one very large, very comfortable bed, and liked the use of the sports facilities. Great extension on check out, they were in no hurry to evict us ;-)))
t.v. Only had three channels, the rooms are not soundproof, we heard everything the couple in the room above was doing, the shower was dirty and so was the shower curtain, the shower didnt work very well. One memebr of staff on the sunday morning could have been a bit more well presented, looked very shabby and dishevelled overall great for what we paid
I stayed one night on business. The staff were very polite and helpful. Whilst the hotel was basic with no bar, restaurant or hot food, the continental breakfast was excellent and brought to my room and there were drinks and snack vending machines in reception.
The receptionist was friendly - even at 11.30 at night!
The bath towels are very small !
We were late arriving, but were greeted by the night porter who booked us into the hotel very efficiently. It was a bitterly cold night (- 5 degrees outside) but the room was warm and cosy with spare blankets available in the room as well as comfortable duvets. The location (next door to Stoke Mandeville Hospital) was ideal for our purposes since we had an 8.30 a.m. appointment at the hospital the following day.
